Why do we spend money we don't have for things we don't need to impress people we don't like? People go broke to buy designer brand clothes to impress the opposite sex, when the main objective is to get them out of those clothes. Some people barely have a roof over their heads yet they have a new Mercedes and can't afford the maintenance on it. Why have a 4,000 square foot home if it's just you and your lady? 


Debt is a repeating cycle and as long as you're in debt, you're a slave to this system. I know, there are some things that are necessities, but a car you can't afford is not one of them. A car is transportation, it can be 10 years old, as long as it gets you from point A to point B. Some people like to keep up with the Jones's, but the Jones's aren't even paying attention to you. Trying to live someone else's life has caused a lot of people to lose everything they have. Just remember the grass is not always greener on the other side. Just because they have nice things don't mean they're happy.


At the end of the day we have to do what right for us and our situation. We can't be in competition with one another and expect to succeed in life. Invest time and money in the things that are important to us.
